Coach Tanya Debelak

Head Women Empowered Coach: She specializes in teaching women's self-defense, guiding numerous students to build psychological and physical resilience.

Community Advocacy:
Debelak frequently works with local youth and survivors of trauma. Following community events, she has been featured on local media outlets like CBS News Colorado promoting Jiu-Jitsu as a vital tool for mental recovery, boundary setting, and overcoming anxiety or domestic violence.

Competitive Achievements:
In addition to her leadership roles, she is an active competitor in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Her accomplishments include:
  • Gold Medalist: Won first place in the No-Gi division at the Fight 2 Win (F2W) BJJ Summer Classic.
  • World Championship Competitor: Competed on the international stage at the 2024 World IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship. She took Silver (or 2nd) at Worlds.

Her Story

Tanya also holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Texas A&M University (class of 2007) and a Certificate of Business Management from Pueblo Community College (class of 2003). Tanya is a GJJ Brown Belt, BBS1 Qualified and completed the Gracie University Women Empowered Instructor Certification Program (ICP) in 2017, and completed the Women Empowered 2.0 ICP in 2022. She also attended the Gracie Combatives ICP in Jan 2026, and is current with all certifications.
