Coach Nick Salimbene
Nick Salimbene is a Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Brown Belt (2-Stripe) and retired U.S. Army veteran with over 20 years of service, including multiple deployments as an Army Ranger. He began his jiu-jitsu journey in 2006 at Relson Gracie Ohio and reignited his passion for training in 2017.

Key Roles & Specializations:
Assistant Instructor: Nick has been a dedicated member of the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Aurora family since 2018. He earned his Blue, Purple, and Brown Belts under Professor Tony Debelak and has completed the Gracie University curriculum (through BBS4).

After completion of the Instructor Certification Program (ICP- Jan 2027) Nick will specialize in teaching all Bully Proof Programs, Combatives & Master Cycle Programs.

His Story

In addition to his Gracie Jiu-Jitsu training, Nick holds a Level II Modern Army Combatives certification, has competed extensively in Army Combatives tournaments, and continues to expand his martial arts knowledge through Muay Thai training.

Nick is passionate about helping students develop confidence, discipline, and practical self-defense skills through Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.
